A church choir helps to make a church service more enjoyable by providing uplifting music during the worship. At the Epworth Methodist Tamil Church, this is done by a choir consisting of 40 members. The biggest strength and success of a choir is the dedication and hard work of the members coupled with commitment to serve and with a passion to sing. With the sheer love of music, the amount of sacrifice that goes into practice fades behind.

This helps the choir members meet every week to practise the songs for the Sunday service. Under the proficient guidance of the choir master, Mr. Selson Samuel, the choir members are provided with training to sing their way to the glory of God.
Every year, one Sunday is celebrated as the choir Sunday, wherein the whole service is conducted by the members of the choir. This is followed by Musical Evening hosted by the church choir where renditions of gospel music fill the evening air.

Joining a church choir brings with it a commitment to a higher power where each choir member is singing to praise God. The choir encourages the interested people to join and lift up their voices in praise.
