WHO CONTROLS US ?

Isaiah-45-5-7 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:

That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these thing.

Greetings dear God’s children! I happened to attend an International Kite Festival at Navi Mumbai(New Bombay). There were a lot of participants from far and near. The organizers even distributed free kites to all who attended. I got one too. There were big kites, small kites, colourful ones and in different shapes and sizes. There was also a kite in the shape of an Octopus, a ship and also one made up of 40 Indian flags all joined together with one string.

As I was watching them, I noticed that all the kites were just useless, if there is no breeze or wind. God has created all of us fearfully and wonderfully and He expects us to fly high. But at the same time, we need God as a breeze in our lives to lift us up. We would be useless if we do not have God in our lives.

All the enthusiastic participants were happily flying their kites and all the kites needed someone to hold the strings and control them to keep the kites flying high. The kites would come down the moment the kite fler left the string.

Dearly beloved, we need Jesus to take control of our lives to keep us flying high. We have to accept, that we cannot fly successfully all by our strength but we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us no matter where we are or what we do.

Who is controlling our lives today ? Is it the worldly material possessions or the people around us? Or, is it Jesus? He is more than willing to take control of our lives, if only we let Him to.

Dear Lord, please take control of my life today. Amen.
